Fair Isle Knitting: 7 Tips before you start

Also known as stranded knitting or colour-work knitting, Fair Isle knitting is celebrated as being a very cool process, that looks as if you've performed magic once you've finished!

If you're going to be authentic, you're not actually doing fair isle knitting, unless you're knitting over on Fair Isle! But the knitting technique has taken its name, so its now celebrated world wide.

You won't need an Olivander's wand, just a pair of knitting needles and two colours of yarn to start knitting with the fair isle stranded knitting method.

Before you start, these 7 tips will help you decide whether you're ready, if not I'll give you a few tips on what to practice so you'll be knitting with 2 colours soon.
