Using this in the bath or shower instead of the polyester or nylon scrubbie that you’ll find in most stores will do two things:

Firstly you’ll have a natural fibre washing you with your soap or shower gel. You’ll notice the difference and while it will still be exfoliating your skin with the ridges created by the garter stitch rows, there will not be any coarse scratches that you might find caused by joins or flaws in plastic alternatives.

Secondly you’ll not be adding to the plastic micro-fibres that live in our natural environment. We’re releasing these pollutants whenever we heat and agitate synthetic fibre whilst it’s in water. By using natural fibres that break down much more quickly and naturally, we’re reducing our impact on the environment.

With two balls of yarn you’ll knit up two scrubbies, so you can use them on rotation and wash regularly with your towels.
