Plait Fingerless Mitts Knitting Pattern

£11.99£17.99

This classic cable pattern, consisting of two beginner cable techniques, these are light and cosy mitts that you’ll appreciate from September to April.
Ideal for those who love natural fibres, these mitts knitted in Rowan’s Felted Tweed DK will keep your hands away from the light breezes of Autumn and Spring along with being enough to protect you as you rush from house to car, from coffee shop to office in the coldest winter.

These are knitted flat, and seamed once you’ve finished. The seams aren’t noticeable when wearing, and you’ll find it easier to keep track through the pattern knowing that one row is purl-based and the next knit-based.

Size of finished cuffs:
22cm (8.75″) high, 20cm (8″) around the wrist/cuff (with ribbing there’s a lot of stretch)

Materials needed:
one ball of Rowan Felted Tweed DK
3.25mm & 4mm single-pointed needles
small cable needle
knitters sewing needle for DK yarn

Colour In Image: Cumin 193

If you’re in the UK or Europe, we can send you a kit with everything you need to knit these mitts
And the Rowan Felted Tweed DK is in the shop too, if you’d like to add extra yarn to your basket to knit up more pairs.

NOTE: These are knitted flat, as every row is different and you’ll find it easier to keep track knowing that one row is purl-based and the next knit-based.
