Knitters can feel like Goldilocks sometimes!

Babies are continually growing, obviously! Which means deciding on which size to knit can be tough.

Do we knit a newborn hat for a newborn, or get ready ahead of time for the 0-3 month hat?

Or perhaps they're a small-ish 6-month old, so we go right in with a 6-month-sized cardigan?

That's fine until it fits perfectly for 3 weeks. and then it's too tight... that's not good!

So today we're looking at what size to knit for babies. As you can guess I'm trying to make this as easy as possible. That's what we want in knitting. Ease and confidence in our daily knitting and finished items.

And that is why I'm giving 4 tips, with a 4 one going a bit off-topic and talking about another part of baby knitting, which can really help with sizing too.
