Back in 2008 white scarves were everywhere, wrapped around teens’ shoulders and faces, paired with eyeliner and lip gloss. I remember chatting with mums at craft fairs, offering laundry tips for scarves that were being well-loved… and well-used!

Around the same time, I was itching to knit a scarf with built-in pockets—somewhere to slip keys or gloves when I didn’t want to carry a bag. The idea had been with me since childhood, sparked by the intrigue of hidden knitted pockets. Then one day, the leaf motif arrived unannounced, like a whisper of creative joy—and I couldn’t resist.
