Join me for three weeks of knit-along community in September 2024
Back by popular demand, you’re invited to three weeks of knitting and nattering where we’ll be sharing photos, commenting and completing knits inside a private community space.
Please Note:
Patterns will be accessible to download from 7th September.
We begin on Monday 9th September. (materials lists and extra info will be sent before the knit-along begins)
Knitting patterns for cosy accessories are just what you need in Autumn. And if you know you’re going to get help with every part of the project – questions answered, video tutorials, knitting motivation and community fun – then even better!
You’ll finish the knit-along with,
- one (or two) soft and warm knitted cowls, in double-thickness yarn, as you’ll use two colours on the majority of rows.
- a new skill which can easily become part of your knitting life.
- eagerness to knit more rounds every time you pick it up – it’s one of those “just 10 more minutes” knits. (if you know you know!) With 5 rows of repetition and regular changes of yarn shade you’ll be motivated to keep going again and again.
- a cowl to mix and match with your current knitted accessories, as it’s knitted in Felted Tweed DK, by Rowan, it’s a classic yarn that isn’t going anywhere. This pattern can be repeated with many shades to match different coats and winter jumpers.
It’s also ideal for gifting as each Sashiko Cowl can have different yarn choices, so is individual and perfectly suited for the recipient.
Be a part of the second knit-along this year and pick up your needles alongside us with full step-by-step tutorials and video knit and natters.

knitting in the round, fair isle (both of which will be taught inside the knit-along)
Full step-by-step tutorials linked from leaflet and digital pattern, via QR code, created especially for the knit-along.

PLEASE NOTE:
You’ll be given access to the private knit-along forum and digital pattern when the doors open on 7th September 2024. This will provide access to the digital pattern and videos for your knit.
What to expect inside the Sashiko Cowl knit-along:
You’ll be given access to over three weeks of conversation inside the Knit-Along community space on 7th September 2024. This forum includes comment topics and weekly knitting podcast-style audios to guide and support your knitting.
You’ll also be given access to video tutorials for the Cowl, including repair tutorials for any mishaps you may encounter.
Hannah is inside the forum daily, to answer your questions, give support with knitty mishaps, and cheer you on as you knit through the Cowls.
(one-to-one access to Hannah at this level isn’t currently available in any other form, so if you’ve been hoping to get some extra help and encouragement from Hannah with your knitting, now’s your chance!)
Photos can be posted, along with your comments and questions so we can share in everyone’s knitting experience. You can be as sociable as you choose; as an introvert myself I love communicating in small bites, but you can log-in as many times as you like each day and let us know how your knitting is going.

How to join
Whether you pick the Sashiko Cowl kit or pattern, you’ll be welcomed into the knit-along.
If you order a kit, your fabulous choice of yarn colour, along with the printed pattern, will be despatched from Tuesday 27th August 2024, (Kit available to UK knitters only).
If you choose just the digital pattern as you have the yarn easily accessible, the pattern will be available inside the Knit-Along community space. You’ll be given access Saturday 7th September.
