Winter Fingerless Mitts Collection

Hand-knitted fingerless mitts, especially if they incorporate the fair isle and intarsia style, are great for this time of year. A classic style of mittens for wintery outings, a great match to the decorations and perfect for shopping with freedom of fingers in this fingerless style.

And let’s face it, at this time of year, a seasonal touch can never go amiss!

Knit these up for yourself and wear them for a few months over the winter, knowing you’ll be wearing them year after year, to bring holiday joy to all who see them. (Not quite so obvious as a ‘Christmas jumper,’ but in the same spirit!)

You’ll need stranded and intarsia experience, but don’t worry about trying Intarsia in the round, you’ll be knitting these flat and sewing a side seam.

The Drops Alaska and Nepal yarns are available in a great range of colours, so if you’d prefer a different background then go for it. You could have a couple of pairs to match different scarves!

These knit up big, so they feel roomy and very cosy with the thick year. They cover the fingers well and are ideal if you like to wear fingerless mitts with thin gloves underneath.

10cmx10cm = 17sts x 22 rows over st-st
