I’m sure you all had an inkling that after the knit stitch I would give you the biz of purl.
Here it is! I found purl a completely baffling part of knitting when my Mum tried to teach me. I didn’t get it. I just didn’t understand how or why it was different to knitting. I remember going to her time after time and asking which was ‘right side’ and which was ‘wrong side’. She would stand there looking at it for ages too and this didn’t help my confidence in thinking I’d ever really ‘get’ it.
